The below passage beautifully explains who is really rich, how and why?
“Master, you are wonderful!” A student, taking his leave, gazed
ardently at the patriarchal sage. “You have renounced riches and
comforts to seek God and teach us wisdom!” It was well-known that
Bhaduri Mahasaya had forsaken great family wealth in his early
childhood, when single-mindedly he entered the yogic path.
“You are reversing the case!” The saint’s face held a mild rebuke. “I
have left a few paltry rupees, a few petty pleasures, for a cosmic
empire of endless bliss. How then have I denied myself anything? I
know the joy of sharing the treasure. Is that a sacrifice? The
shortsighted worldly folk are verily the real renunciates! They
relinquish an unparalleled divine possession for a poor handful of
earthly toys!”
I chuckled over this paradoxical view of renunciation-one which puts
the cap of Croesus on any saintly beggar, whilst transforming all
proud millionaires into unconscious martyrs.
– Autobiography of a Yogi
‘The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.’
Today I am posting one of my favourite part in Sai Satcharitra – Chapter 18/19. Just to let it be known Sai Baba of Shirdi is my Guru, he is the incarnation of Lord Dattatrey- The Guru of Gurus of all Gurus. The Adi Guru of all Avadhootas and all other orders of Gurus. He is the Holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. Sai Baba is his avataar. It is only by the Grace and command of Sai Baba that I got the grace of Avadhoot Baba Shivananda in my life who taught me the secret of Shivyog. Ok here is one of the story in Sai Satcharitra that has touched me the most. It is about the importance of a Guru, what he is, what he is not. This story is sea of nectar and it is entirely upto you to pull out as much as you can from it. With Guru Agya here it is
Just Completed reading “The Power of Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy. Extremely good book albeit it is a western book so talks only till Subconscious Mind, if it were from any Indian Author or a Yogi, then it would have surely talked about Higher states of Consciousness. Now starting to read “The Autobiography of a Yogi” by Paramhansa Yogananda. Lets see what I learn from it. I will soon upload my learnings from The Power of Subconscious Mind.
Had a early morning learning/vision today that “Cerebral limbic” systems are our connection to the Universal Consciousness/Intelligence. Need to meditate more on this to learn more.
This message came to me from deep subconscious mind which never lies and knows everything. This is the part of mind that created you and the whole universe, your conditions, your body, thoughts etc.
Interesting, since it came when I was in semi-deep sleep state, I don’t remember perfectly if the voice told me to investigate Cerebral or Cerebellum – limbic system to learn more about Universal Consciousness and humans but nevertheless, it was a good thought that came as input from the unseen world :)Dunno how true or untrue this is but I have observed that in the long run, such messages are very true. I remember reading/hearing somewhere from some Guru that when we sleep, we all travel to the astral world where we also go to various ashrams and get learning from Gurus there. Maybe my teacher in the astral world gave me some Home work to investigate today on this topic 🙂
Hmmmm cerebral/cerebellum limbic system….off to medical dictionary.
